One of the landmarks of western culture, Bach's monumental meditation on Christ's suffering employs the combined forces of six soloists, three choirs, and two orchestras . Featuring some of the most powerful music ever written, the St. Matthew Passion is both a compelling drama and a rewarding spiritual journey, but above all an unparalleled musical masterpiece.

Alan Bennett, who was originally scheduled to perform the role of the Evangelist at this performance, has been forced to cancel his appearance due to a family medical emergency.  We are deeply grateful to Stephen Ng for agreeing to substitute on short notice.
